Monday Cancer Care

My name is Coach Ana, we are thrilled to announce a new **Low Intensity Weight Training** program at New York Fitness and Boxing, designed specifically for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. This initiative is offered in collaboration with Mondays Cancer Care https://www.mondayscancercare.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of those affected by cancer through integrative wellness and beauty services.

 

Founded by sisters Cynthia Sansone and Rachel DeMolfetto in honor of their mother, Mildred DeMolfetto, who passed away from breast cancer in 1989, Mondays at Racine aims to alleviate the physical and emotional burdens of cancer treatment. Their mission is to provide free services that promote self-esteem and overall health during challenging times.

 

The New York Fitness and Boxing program focuses on gentle, safe exercises that improve both physical and mental well-being.Participants can expect benefits such as enhanced endurance, improved coordination, and stress relief, all while minimizing impact on the body. Certified instructors will guide you through tailored workouts incorporating light resistance and cardio, ensuring each session supports your health journey.

 

Thanks to our partnership with Mondays Cancer Care, we are able to offer this training experience free of charge. Join us on **Mondays** to feel empowered, strong, and connected with a community of like-minded individuals.

We use light resistance tools like dumbbells, resistance bands, and kettlebells, ensuring the exercises are safe and effective.

  • Supportive Community: You’ll be surrounded by a group of individuals who understand the challenges you’re facing. This sense of community can be a powerful source of encouragement and motivation during your wellness journey.

  • Improved Physical and Mental Well-being: Regular participation can lead to improved cardiovascular health, reduced stress, and increased energy levels. You’ll also find relief from anxiety and a boost in your mood, giving you a sense of empowerment over your health.

  • Free Access: Thanks to our partnership with Mondays Cancer Care, this program is offered completely free of charge as long as you are undergoing cancer treatment, allowing you to focus solely on your well-being without any financial concern. Once you complete your cancer treatment we hope you join New York Fitness and Boxing as a full time member. 

  • Expert Guidance: Our instructors are fully certified and experienced in working with cancer patients, ensuring that each session is conducted with care and professionalism. We’ll adapt exercises to your individual needs and provide ongoing support throughout each class.
