Are you New to Cardio-boxing?

  • 1) Do I need prior boxing experience to join the classes?
    No prior boxing experience is required. Our classes are designed for individuals of all fitness levels, from beginners to experienced athletes. Please ask a NYFB representative to recommend the right group class for you.
  • 2) What can I expect to experience in each class?
    In each class, you can expect a structured workout that begins with a 5-minute warm-up. The main session, lasting 50 minutes, includes a mix of calisthenics, circuit training, and cardio-boxing exercise to challenge and engage you. The class concludes with a 5-minute cool-down period to help you recover. Note: The BoxFitness Experience class is 45 minutes long and follows the same structure.
  • 3) Is this a non-contact fitness program?
    Yes, our Adult Boxfit group class is a non-contact fitness program. Participants will not have any physical contact with other gym members, ensuring a safe and enjoyable workout experience. Note: The Youth Boxfit class may contain some physical contact, but participants can opt out of physical engagement entirely.
  • 4) What type of gear do I need to get started?
    To get started, you'll need comfortable workout attire, supportive sneakers, hand wraps, towel and boxing gloves. Don't worry; we can guide you on choosing the right gear. To purchase boxing gloves go to www.BoxingIntel.com
  • 5) Does the gym have any age limitations?
    Yes, New York Fitness and Boxing welcomes members age seven and up to join our fitness programs.
  • 6) What benefits does a cardio-boxing class offer?
    Non-contact cardio-boxing offers numerous benefits, including improved cardiovascular fitness, increased strength and endurance, stress relief, and enhanced coordination.
  • 7) How many calories can I burn in a one-hour cardio boxing session?
    On average, you can burn between 500 to 800 calories in a one-hour cardio boxing session, depending on your intensity and effort.
  • 8) What is the class schedule, and how do I book a session?
    You can find our class schedule on our website, and you can easily book a session online or through our mobile app. Look for the “Book Now” button. We offer flexible timings to accommodate various schedules.
  • 9) Are there beginner, intermediate and advanced level classes offered?
    All classes are inclusive/communal, instruction lead. The trainer will asses, modify and suggest the right level of intensity for the client based on ability and performance. If you are seeking a more personal and individualized approach to your desired level we recommend our personal trainer option. Please select the option that will allow you to fully enjoy the fitness experience you are seeking.
  • 10) What safety measures are in place during classes?
    Your safety is our priority. We are equipped with a First Aid kit and an AED, or automated external defibrillator. A machine that is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Also, all equipment is cleaned on a regular basis.
  • 11) Are there membership options available, or can I pay per class?
    We offer both membership options and pay-per-class options to cater to your fitness needs. You can choose the option that best fits your fitness journey.
  • 12) Do you host private party and corporate events?
    Yes, we are happy to host your next private party or corporate team building event.
